Leff’s Lucky Town would like to thank all who participated in the Leff’s/102.9 The Hog Brewer Opening Day Tailgate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for the last several years. Leff’s would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Milwaukee Brewers and Miller Brewing Company (Miller Coors) for their participation in making each year’s event successful.
This year there will not be a 2009 Opening Day Tailgate with Leff’s and the Hog. The Milwaukee Brewers have decided to not sell any group ticket packages this year. Although we at Leff’s are disappointed we understand and respect the Brewers’ decision regarding group sales for Opening Day.
We also extend our congratulations to the entire Brewer organization for making the playoffs for the first time in 26 years and for drawing 3,000,000 fans.
The Brewers’ staff has graciously given Leff’s and The Hog an opportunity to host an event to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on the second game of this year’s season. This game is on Saturday, April 11th, 2009 and is scheduled for 6:00PM (subject to change per Major League Baseball) against the Chicago Cubs. By taking advantage of this offer from the Brewers we can once again have a terrific tailgate party for a great cause. We as fans can also extend our appreciation for the 2008 season and show our support for the Milwaukee Brewers against their nearest rival, the 2008 NL Central Champs, Chicago Cubs!
Although we had a small tailgate party of about 300 people last year for the second game of the season, this is mostly uncharted territory for us and we are looking to see what the interest level for a tailgate party benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for the second game this year would be.
Here are the details of the second day event:
- Live Music by the LoveMonkeys
- Beer
- Soda
- Leff’s Famous Tailgate Food
- Plenty of Bathrooms
- Games and Frivolity
- Benefits the Leukemia Lymphoma Society
- Marquee Game Ticket for Brewers vs. Cubs
- All for around $65-$75
Please let us know if you would be interested in tickets and roughly how many. This will help us secure group tickets for this game early before individual games go on sale. Please keep in mind that we have not secured any tickets yet and we are not sure how many we will be able to get. So if you please let us know by January 14th we will have a better chance of taking care of any one who wants to participate in the Second Game Tailgate against the Cubs. By responding, you are guaranteed to be put on our Preferred Invite List for the event, and will have the first shot at tickets when they become available.
Thank you,
Leff’s Lucky Town
